MTA's New York City Vintage Train Ride is a fun annual event, during which several jazz bands and dozens of dressed-up, dancing fans of the jazz-age swing take over the 2nd Avenue F train platform, and then ride the vintage train to Queens and back (much to the delight of the unsuspecting commuters.) I was out with
Veronica Lawlor to draw the performance of the awesome
Svetlana and The Delancey Five, who just released her debut album "
Night at the Speakeasy". If you love swinging 1920s-40s jazz, then check out this band's
upcoming shows!
