Frank Stella at the Whitney

Some memories from the incredible Frank Stella show at the Whitney. It's on view for only 2 more weeks...My friend and artist Audrey Hawkins, with whom we drew side by side that evening, aptly described Stella and his work as "relentless". 

Vintage Train Ride with Svetlana and The Delancey Five

MTA's New York City Vintage Train Ride is a fun annual event, during which several jazz bands and dozens of dressed-up, dancing fans of the jazz-age swing take over the 2nd Avenue F train platform, and then ride the vintage train to Queens and back (much to the delight of the unsuspecting commuters.)  I was out with Veronica Lawlor to draw the performance of the awesome Svetlana and The Delancey Five, who just released her debut album "Night at the Speakeasy".  If you love swinging 1920s-40s jazz, then check out this band's upcoming shows!
